BassHookups goes pig hunting in northern CA

The Future Pro tournament circuit in California has had a T.V. show going for a few years now, but this year their hoping to add a few hunting episodes. So we headed up to Redding, CA to not only film our first hunting show, but to GO on our first hunt… So us virgins to hunting showed up at 5:30 in the morning with beanies, sweatshirts, jeans and tennis shoes ready to rock and roll. Travis thought he was clever in bringing his water proof tennis shoes, until we crossed our first stream of the dozen we crossed that day. Anyway we spent the day trying to follow and video tape two hunters, without scaring the pigs away. Not knowing the proper hunting etiquette was tuff on us, we never asked the right questions before we were balls deep in the hunt. The simple question of whether it was ok to let one loose while stocking the pigs, never crossed my mind until that day… but luckily our guide kept us down wind of the prey and after five hours we had our trophy pig. We ended up getting some awesome footage and will be making another hunting show at the beginning of next month. The pig hunt will be up on Comcast next month and we’ll try to put it up on our site after that.

We just finished our newest video for River 2 Sea featuring Ish Monroe. It will be up for all to see on the day of the Bassmaster Classic at the end of this month. We had a lot of fun with this one, can’t wait for everyone to see.
